Nigerian Undergraduate imprisoned for homosexuality with seven- year old boy

Nigerian Undergraduate imprisoned for homosexuality with seven-year old boy For allegedly indulging in homosexuality with a seven-year old Isaac Chivirter Shamigah, a 20 year old 300 level Accounting student of Benue State University, Makurdi, Ortyom Dyorugh has been thrown behind bars at the Makurdi Medium Security Prison by a Makurdi Court.

Dyorugh who was arraigned before a Chief Magistrate Court in Makurdi for alleged gross indecency was said to have forced Shamigah to commit the act with him at the Judges Quarters area of Makurdi town where they both lived.

According to the First Information Report, FIR, which was filed by Police Prosecutor, Sergeant Patrick Sunday, the accused took Shamigah to an uncompleted building within the vicinity of Judges Quarters where he forced him into sucking his penis with the threat to kill him if he refused to do his bidding.

The Prosecutor further told the court that the alleged sucking of Dyorugh’s genital resulted in the release of sperm into Shamigah’s mouth on three different occasions after which he reiterated his threat to kill Shamigah if he revealed the unholy act.

The young boy was said to have exhibited strange behaviors after the act which attracted his parents’ attention and inquisition.

After some prompting however, Shamigah opened up to his parents, narrating his ordeal in the hands of the under graduate and the threat to his life if he opened up to anybody.

After listening to his son, the boy’s father, Rev Clement Shamigah reported the matter to the Criminal Investigation Bureau, CIB of the Benue State Police Command and Dyorugh was subsequently arrested.

When the case came up under Section 285 of the Penal Code, Dyorugh denied the allegation. Trial Chief Magistrate Mrs. Lilian Tsumba directed that the accused be remanded in prison custody.

man kills masked teen, learns it's his son

NEW FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) — A popular fifth-grade teacher fatally shot a masked teenager in self-defense outside his neighbor's house during what appeared to be an attempted late-night burglary, then discovered the teen was his son, state police said.
Spokesman Lt. J. Paul Vance said Friday that police are trying to determine if the gun used by Jeffrey Giuliano, the father, was registered. It will be at least a week before the probe is done.
Tyler Giuliano, described as an easygoing 15-year-old who enjoyed flying small planes, was shot at about 1 a.m. Thursday in New Fairfield, a lake community of about 14,000 along the New York line just north of Danbury.
"It's something out of a Hollywood script," said First Selectman John Hodge, who doesn't recall another killing in his eight years on the job. "You certainly don't expect it to happen in your own small hometown where there's very little crime."
Jeffrey Giuliano's sister, who was alone in the home, believed someone was breaking in and called Giuliano, who lives next door, state police said. Giuliano grabbed a gun and went outside to investigate, troopers said.
He confronted someone wearing a black ski mask and black clothing and then fired his gun when the person went at him with a shiny weapon in his hand, police said. They would not provide details about what kind of weapon it was.
When police officers arrived almost immediately after they were called, the teen was lying in the driveway of his aunt's home with gunshot wounds and the father was sitting on the grass. The teen was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
A state trooper pulled back the ski mask to reveal that the victim was Tyler Giuliano, though it was unclear if Jeffrey Giuliano already knew that. It was also unclear if he was actually trying to burglarize the house or if it was some type of prank gone wrong.
"All in all it's a tragedy," Vance said.
Jeffrey Giuliano hasn't returned a message seeking comment on what happened. Alicia Roy, superintendent of schools in New Fairfield, said Giuliano is a native of the town who offers summer music and zoology camps for his students and plays in a band that raises a lot of money for charity.
"''He wanted to teach in the community he grew up," she said. "He connects with the students. He's a caring person. Very interactive class."
Tyler Giuliano was a student at New Fairfield High School, a short walk from the neighborhood where he was killed. Roy said he was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and was described as an easy-going young man who enjoyed spending time with his family. During a storm last year, he volunteered at a shelter set up the local high school, helping to serve meals and set up cots.
Roy said Tyler especially enjoyed flying gliders and single-engine planes out of Danbury airport.
"He would fly as many hours as possible," she said.
No charges have been filed. An autopsy is planned.

LAGOS ROBBERY: Suspect Reveals Why They Attacked Lagos

One of the 10-member armed robbery gang that shook Lagos three Sundays ago has told why they were ruthless. During the attack, three policemen and three civilians were killed.
Members of the gang were paraded yesterday at the state police headquarters, Ikeja by the Commissioner of Police, Umar Manko. The suspects are Uche Okeagbu, Emmanuel Ezeani and Chinonso Nwaugwu, all aged 23.
Recovered from the suspects were two buses which had specially fitted compartment for arms and ammunition storage. Found on the buses were two rocket propellers, grenade launchers, five dynamites with a detonator, two general purpose machine guns, nine AK 47 riffles, 225 AK 47 magazines fully loaded, 260 rounds of GPMG live ammunition and 10,000 rounds of live AK 47 ammunition. Okeagbu who confessed that he fully participated in the bloody Sunday robbery said; “We usually target 10 robbery operations at a stretch.
We don’t just strike but after our operations, we normally travel out of the country for sometime until the dust settles. He said “on that fateful Sunday, we had the people we targeted for the operation but we misfired.” Continuing, he said those killed had tried to disturb their operations. “We became ruthless when some people tried to block our ways but the policemen we killed were on their own. But we hate seeing the police because they are our enemies.”
He advised members of the public to always run away when they sight armed robbers during operations.” “Whenever people see armed robbers, they should not try to stop them because anything can happen. Learn lesson from those that we killed that Sunday. They tried to stop us but we stopped them first. You know our business is between life and death, so we don’t joke with those who want to stop us.”
Okeagbu revealed that after the Lagos robbery, they ran to Kwara State. “We robbed some banks, that was four days after the Lagos attack. We also attacked a police station. We took over the police station before we robbed the banks.” “When we got to the police station, we fired sporadically into the station and all the policemen on duty took to their heels and we moved to the Divisional Police Officer’s (DPO) office, we met him in the office, and he was confused on what was going on, so we told him that we were armed robbers and that our members were robbing in the bank.
We warned him to cooperate with us and he said no problem. He offered us seats and we stayed with him until one of our members came and told us that they were through. We left him panting.” He refuted the report making round that one of their members was a woman. “No, no, no, he is a man but he has big breasts like that of a woman.
He is very fat. He is a man.” The Commissioner of Police (CP) Umar Manko who paraded the suspects said on September 23, operatives of the State Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), led by its commander, Mr. Abba Kyari, acting on a tip-off, stormed Kemba-Hausa area of Ajangbadi where the suspects were arrested. Manko said during interrogation, Okeagbu led the police to their armoury, two buses where the arms and ammunition were concealed.
He noted that whenever the gang was operating, they would drive the buses to the location, park in front of their target places and after operations, they would buy bags of garri or any other goods and use them to cover the mask where their evil weapons were hidden. He revealed that one of the gang’s operational vehicles also has a sensor, which the robbers used in monitoring their back while escaping from the robbery scene.
Manko who was elated by the big catch said, “When the robbers struck, I vowed to fish them out. Efforts are still high to making sure that we arrest other members of the gang who are on the run.” One of the suspects Nwua Ugwu who was shouting on top of his voice said, “I did not follow them that Sunday. I am not denying being a member but that Sunday, I swear, I did not go with them. They only sent me money for recharge card.”
